Let’s Personalize Your Year in Review!
By Lynn Greenberg
So, you know those Year In Review things? They’re great for getting a snapshot of what happened over the year nationally and even globally, but they often miss out on the stuff that really matters to us personally, like what happened in our school or town.
Here’s a fun idea I like to use: why not add a more personal Year in Review? You can do this by running a quick online survey. Google Forms is super handy for this. Throw in some categories like favorite songs, movies, TV shows, school lunch, school events, and even local news that were impactful in your school, town, city, or state.
Including an “About Me” page works for all ages, including younger ones, where they can fill it out, or their family can help them fill it out. This gives them a chance to be part of the yearbook and get a snapshot of who they were that year and their favorite things and share cute stories. It’s a neat way to see how their handwriting and spelling evolve over time.
